There are many false claims and misconceptions about anxiety.

People who don’t suffer from anxiety like to claim anxiety is ‘fake’ or people who suffer from anxiety are ‘weak’ this simply isn’t true at all!

The most common misconceptions about anxiety are

1. People who suffer from anxiety are weak
2. Telling someone with anxiety to ‘calm down’ is helpful
3. Anxiety medication is a ‘crutch’
4. Everyone who has anxiety had a bad childhood
5. Anxiety is not real
