Netflix’s ‘Dogs’ is making everyone on Twitter ugly cry
Dogs, their love is unconditional, their videos instant viral hits, and thinking about them dying brings even the toughest man to his knees. Netflix’s newest documentary, titled Dogs, takes cheap shots at giving viewers all the feels—and it’s working.
Like you don’t cry every time a sad dog story appears on your Facebook timeline already, the six-part series follows stories about what bonds us and dogs. And not just any stories, the most heart-twisting ones Netflix could find.
For example, one episode follows the story of Zeus, a beautiful husky stuck in war-torn Syria after his owner had to flee. They detail his owner’s journey to getting back his pal.
Netflix describes the series as “an elegant, engaging, and cinematic vérité documentary series celebrating the deep emotional bonds between people and their beloved four-legged best friends.”
“Dogs takes us on an inspirational journey exploring the remarkable, perhaps even magical qualities that have given these animals such a special place in all of our hearts,” the streaming giant said in a press release.
And of course, people are buying into this and loving every second of it.
